VIGI 4MP Full-Color Dome Network Camera
The TP-Link VIGI InSight S245 is a professional 4 MP full-color dome network camera providing a maximum resolution of 2688 × 1520 pixels. Its 1/2.7" progressive scan CMOS sensor is combined with a fast F1.6 fixed-focal lens, available in 2.8 mm or 4 mm versions. The 2.8 mm model provides a 110° horizontal field of view, while the 4 mm version offers an 88° horizontal viewing angle.
For low-light and nighttime surveillance, the camera incorporates two IR LEDs and two white LEDs, each providing illumination over distances of up to 30 m. Minimum illumination is specified at 0.005 lux, or 0 lux when infrared or white-light illumination is active. Image enhancement technologies include 120 dB WDR, BLC, HLC, Smart IR, and 3D DNR for improved visibility under challenging lighting conditions. When People & Vehicle Analytics is enabled, VIGI specifies DWDR operation instead of True WDR.
In addition to human and vehicle classification, the InSight S245 provides a broad range of intelligent analytics, including intrusion detection, line-crossing detection, region entering and exiting detection, loitering detection, abandoned object detection, and object removal detection. Abnormal sound, scene change, and camera tampering detection are also supported. Event linkage options include memory card recording, push notifications, audible warnings, and flashing white-light alerts.
A built-in microphone and speaker provide two-way audio for direct communication and active deterrence at the monitored location. Main-stream video compression supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+, and H.264. An integrated microSD card slot supports local storage capacities of up to 512 GB, while ONVIF Profile S/T/G compatibility facilitates integration with compatible video management and surveillance platforms.
Network connectivity is provided through a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 interface. The camera can be powered via IEEE 802.3af/at PoE or 12 V DC. Its metal enclosure is rated IP67 for weather protection and IK10 for vandal resistance, with a specified operating temperature range from -30 °C to +60 °C. The InSight S245 therefore combines high-resolution full-color surveillance, intelligent video analytics, and rugged construction for professional security installations.
