UniFi G3 Fingerprint, black
The Ubiquiti UniFi G3 Reader Fingerprint is a third-generation access control reader designed for the UniFi Access platform. It combines a capacitive fingerprint sensor with an integrated NFC reader and keypad for PIN-based authentication. Supported door unlock methods include NFC cards and keyfobs, PIN, fingerprint, Mobile Unlock, and Touch Pass. Digital access credentials through Apple and Google Wallet are also supported.
For biometric access control, UniFi Access supports up to 300 unique fingerprints per UniFi Console, with one fingerprint registered per user. Biometric data is processed and stored locally within the UniFi Access system on the UniFi Console and synchronized to compatible access devices for verification. According to Ubiquiti, fingerprint data is not transmitted to third-party servers.
The integrated NFC reader operates at 13.56 MHz and supports ISO 14443A, ISO 14443B, ISO 15693, and multiple MIFARE technologies including MIFARE Classic, Plus, Ultralight, and DESFire. The specified NFC reading distance is less than 30 mm. BLE 4.2 connectivity is additionally available for supported mobile access functions.
Network connectivity is provided through a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 interface that also supplies PoE power. Maximum power consumption is 5 W at 48 V DC. An integrated speaker and multicolor status LEDs provide direct user feedback at the access point. The enclosure combines polycarbonate and aluminum alloy, while the supplied mounting bracket is manufactured from steel.
Measuring 126.2 × 45 × 56.9 mm and weighing 164 g, the reader provides a compact form factor for professional door access installations. Its IP55 rating, -30 °C to +50 °C operating temperature range, and ESD/EMP protection of ±8 kV air and ±4 kV contact support reliable use in demanding indoor and outdoor environments. Centralized configuration and management are handled through the UniFi Access application.
