UniFi Dream Machine Beast, 2x 25G SFP28, 2x 10 SFP+, 8x 10 Gbit, 2x 1 Gbit
The Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Beast is a high-performance 1U cloud gateway for large-scale UniFi environments. It combines routing, security gateway functionality, UniFi control, VPN/SD-WAN capabilities and the full UniFi Application Suite in a rack-mountable appliance. According to Ubiquiti, the gateway supports more than 7,500 concurrent users, over 750 managed UniFi devices, up to 200 access hubs and UniFi Protect deployments with up to 100 HD, 60 2K or 40 4K cameras.
The port configuration includes 2× 1 GbE RJ45, 8× 10 GbE RJ45, 2× 10G SFP+ and 2× 25G SFP28. The default WAN ports are one 25G SFP28 port and one 10 GbE RJ45 port, while up to eight WAN ports are supported. With 25 Gbps IDS/IPS throughput, stateful firewall, Layer 7 application-aware firewall, DPI, traffic identification, content filtering, ad blocking and IPS/IDS, the Dream Machine Beast provides a powerful security platform for data-intensive enterprise networks.
For high availability and professional network architectures, the appliance supports Shadow Mode with VRRP gateway failover, DC power backup, multi-WAN load balancing, LACP port aggregation, OSPF, BGP, advanced QoS, policy-based WAN and VPN routing, and site-to-site VPN via Site Magic, IPsec and OpenVPN. VPN server options include WireGuard, OpenVPN, L2TP, Teleport and Identity Endpoint One-Click VPN. The hardware platform is based on an octa-core ARM v9 processor at 2.1 GHz, 16 GB system memory, integrated 128 GB SSD and two 3.5" NVR HDD bays. The enclosure is made from CNC aluminium and SGCC steel and includes a 1.3" touchscreen display.
