UniFi 5G Backup
The Ubiquiti UniFi 5G Backup U5G is a compact, PoE-powered cellular backup system for UniFi networks. It combines 5G RedCap, LTE fallback, a GbE RJ45 port with PoE input, and both Nano-SIM and eSIM support in a slim device design. Management is provided via Ethernet with UniFi Network version 10.4.57 and later; mobile setup is supported with UniFi iOS version 10.35.0 and later or UniFi Android version 10.38.2 and later.
For cellular connectivity, the U5G features two embedded omni-directional antennas, 5G SA data rates of up to 220 Mbps downlink and 120 Mbps uplink, and LTE data rates of up to 195 Mbps downlink and 100 Mbps uplink. The enclosure is made from polycarbonate and aluminium alloy, includes a 1.14" status display, and is supplied with desktop stand, wall mount and window mount options. This makes the U5G a practical solution for resilient internet connectivity in professional UniFi deployments.

The Ubiquiti UniFi 5G Backup U5G is suitable for businesses, branch offices, retail locations, small offices and professional network installations that require an additional internet backup connection. The device connects to a UniFi PoE port and can provide automatic cellular failover if the primary internet connection becomes unavailable. Thanks to its compact form factor and included desktop, wall and window mounting options, the U5G can be positioned flexibly where suitable cellular reception is available. According to Ubiquiti, the device supports 5G RedCap and LTE; 5G operation requires carrier-specific 5G Standalone and RedCap subscription support, otherwise the device operates via LTE fallback.
