Ubiquiti Recessed Entry Sensor
The Ubiquiti Recessed Entry Sensor (USL-Entry-R) is a battery-powered recessed contact sensor designed for integration with UniFi Protect. An integrated reed switch detects whether the monitored door or access point is open or closed. Unlike surface-mounted contact sensors, the USL-Entry-R is installed using a recessed screw-mounted design, providing a clean and discreet appearance.
Wireless connectivity is provided through Ubiquiti's proprietary UniFi SuperLink technology. The EU version operates in the 865.1–869.5 MHz frequency range and supports a manufacturer-specified maximum wireless range of up to 2 km. Power is supplied by a 3 V CR2 lithium battery, providing up to three years of battery life. The sensor also incorporates a tamper switch, function button and factory-reset button. Its enclosure is manufactured from polycarbonate and is specified for operating temperatures from 0 to 40 °C. The USL-Entry-R therefore provides a compact and discreet solution for wireless entry-status monitoring within professional UniFi Protect deployments.
