RUT286 - Industrial Global LTE CAT.4 Router, RS232 & RS485
The Teltonika RUT286 is an industrial cellular router engineered for global IoT and M2M deployments. It uses a standardised LTE platform based on a Telit modem and provides 4G LTE Cat 4 connectivity with fallback to available 3G and 2G networks. This makes the router suitable for internationally deployed systems that must remain accessible across regions with varying mobile network availability.
RS232 and RS485 interfaces enable direct connection of industrial equipment. Support for protocols including Modbus, DNP3, and DLMS facilitates integration with automation, utility, metering, and remote-control systems. Serial data can therefore be transmitted over the cellular network to central control systems, servers, or cloud platforms.
Flexible power options support deployment across a wide range of industrial environments. In addition to a protected 9–57 V DC input, the RUT286 supports both active and passive PoE. Power and network data can therefore be delivered over a single Ethernet cable, helping reduce installation complexity at distributed or difficult-to-access locations.
