Omada 28-Port Gigabit Easy Managed Switch with 24-Port PoE+
The TP-Link Omada ES228GP is a 28-port Gigabit easy managed switch with 26 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports, including 24 IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ ports, plus 2 Gigabit SFP slots. The total PoE power budget is 250 W, with up to 30 W available per PoE port. This allows numerous access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones or other PoE endpoints to be powered centrally. For surveillance deployments, the switch supports PoE transmission distances of up to 250 m, or 820 ft; when Extend mode is enabled, the usable port speed is reduced accordingly.
With 56 Gbps switching capacity, 41.67 Mpps packet forwarding rate, an 8K MAC address table and jumbo frame support up to 15 KB, the ES228GP provides a powerful foundation for Gigabit networks with many PoE endpoints. Layer 2 functions include link aggregation, loopback detection, 802.3x flow control, port mirroring, port statistics and LLDP. VLAN functions and IGMP snooping are available for segmentation and multicast applications.
For prioritized and stable data transmission, the switch supports QoS, port isolation and storm control. Functions such as remote camera reboot and automatic loop prevention simplify operation in video surveillance and access installations. The 1U 19-inch metal enclosure is designed for rack installation and supports structured deployment in technical rooms or distribution cabinets. Via Omada SDN, the ES228GP can be centrally managed through the web interface or Omada app.

The TP-Link Omada ES228GP is designed for small and medium-sized businesses, offices, shops, education, hospitality, building technology and professional IP surveillance networks requiring a high PoE port density. Its 24 Gigabit PoE+ ports can supply data and power to IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones and other PoE-capable endpoints over a single network cable. Two additional Gigabit RJ45 ports and two Gigabit SFP slots provide flexible uplink connectivity to routers, core switches, servers or fibre links.
For surveillance and access networks, the switch provides practical features such as PoE transmission up to 250 m, remote camera reboot, port isolation, QoS, VLAN, IGMP snooping and automatic loop prevention. Centralized management via the web or Omada app simplifies deployment, monitoring and maintenance for system integrators, IT service providers and operators of small to medium-sized sites.
