Dead Zone Eliminator - Pre-amplifier Fiber Box Multimode / Singlemode
Lead fibers - optionally supplemented by a trailing fiber - are connected between the OTDR and the test fiber to bridge the dead zone and blind areas of the measuring device. This allows the first and last connectors to be evaluated correctly, resulting in clean, reproducible results for insertion loss, event loss, and reflection. At the same time, the OTDR lead fiber reduces measurement fluctuations in attenuation and length measurements.
