8-Port Managed 802.3at POE+ Gbit + 2Port SFP Managed Switch
The PLANET GS-4210-8P2S is a compact desktop-size managed Gigabit PoE+ switch equipped with 8 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports and 2 100/1000BASE-X mini-GBIC/SFP slots. All eight RJ45 ports support IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ as end-span PSE ports and deliver up to 30 W per port. The total PoE power budget is up to 140 W at 25 °C or 120 W at 50 °C, enabling centralized power delivery for multiple powered devices such as IP cameras, access points and VoIP terminals over the data cabling.
With a 20 Gbps non-blocking switching fabric, 14.88 Mpps throughput, 8K MAC address table and support for 10K jumbo frames, the GS-4210-8P2S provides a capable platform for data, voice and video applications. The two SFP slots support dual-speed operation with 100BASE-FX and 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP transceivers, including SFP-DDM for monitoring optical parameters. In PoE Extend mode, PoE transmission distance can be increased up to 250 m at 10 Mbps duplex operation.
For secure and stable network operation, the switch provides comprehensive Layer 2/L4 features such as IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, Q-in-Q, Voice VLAN, Private VLAN, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, ERPS, LLDP, IGMP/MLD snooping, QoS, ACL, 802.1X, DHCP Snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard and DoS protection. Intelligent PoE functions including PD Alive Check, scheduled power recycling, PoE scheduling, PoE usage monitoring and PoE extension simplify maintenance and power management of connected devices. Management is available via web, console, Telnet and SNMP, with secure access through SSHv2, TLSv1.2 and SNMPv3.
